Christopher Maurice Brown born May 5, is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, dancer, and actor. In , Brown signed with Jive Records.
The following year, he released his eponymous debut studio album , which went triple platinum. His second album, Exclusive , was commercially successful worldwide and spawned his second Billboard Hot number-one single, " Kiss Kiss ".
In , Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault of singer Rihanna , who was then his girlfriend, and was sentenced to five years probation and six months community service.
Following the releases of X and Royalty , both peaking in the top three of the Billboard , his eighth album, Heartbreak on a Full Moon , a double-disc LP consisting of 45 tracks, was certified gold for combined sales and album-equivalent units of over , after one week, and later certified double platinum.
