What happens in Vegasβ¦also happens in Texas. This room is the kind to play for the novelty of the theme. If the mere presence of silly sexual content sounds fun, this is brimming with it. Know before you go. As such, digging through mature-themed props in an escape room was entertaining just as a change of thematic pace.
Most of these items turned out to be purely decorative, and prop interactions were completely unrelated to any authentic purposes. This was a two player room, but there was nothing in the design specifically targeted toward that number. This limitation seemed related to the amount of puzzling content and size of the space. It would be a good starter room for players new to the duo approach but fairly easy for experienced pairs. The puzzles themselves were reasonable and fun, even as they ranged from firmly grounded in the narrative to wackily out of place.
This unpredictability led to a couple of outlandish surprises that were the highlights of the experience. Our buddy was MIA from his own Vegas wedding, so we busted into his hotel room to track him down.
We found ourselves exploring a small Vegas hotel room that had clearly been the scene of some raucous partying. Lingerie, sex toys, and beer bottles were strewn everywhere. Happened Last Night? Some of the decor involved subtle jokes or allusions, and a disposable prop had been custom-designed for the experience. However, it was unclear what the goal was, so we sort of just crashed into it. We felt like we had to trust our instincts more than we wanted to.
