By Sarah Bahari Staff writer. A Plano massage parlor under investigation for sex crimes has shut down, authorities said Wednesday. Tennyson Wellness Center β the current focus of a citywide crackdown on prostitution at massage parlors β voluntarily shut down, a police spokesperson said. The closure comes roughly four months after police, working with the city, filed a petition in Collin County district court to investigate claims of prostitution , indecent assault and lewd behavior.

In recent years, Plano police said they responded to multiple complaints that massage therapists at the center inappropriately touched customers and offered sexual acts for money.
In February , an employee was arrested for engaging in prostitution at the center. At an inspection the following month by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, investigators found finger condoms on the premises.
Then in September , an employee was charged with indecent assault and arrested at the center. A Plano police spokesperson said Wednesday the business has agreed to close on its own. Prostitution in Plano has extended beyond massage parlors. Last year, The Dallas Morning News wrote that Plano and Dallas police uncovered a prostitution ring operating out of a short-term rental and arrested 23 people.
