The degree is designed to prepare individuals for professional positions in such settings as resort and commercial recreation companies, corporate and employee recreation, public parks and recreation, youth-serving and military agencies, campus recreation, and travel and tourism. Specific prerequisites are required for admission into the upper-division program and must be completed by the student at either a community college or a state university prior to being admitted to this program.
