I'm based now over here in The Netherlands so my first port of call is the UK distributor. I explain that I bought the Wave in the UK but am now an expat, they suggest getting in touch with the Dutch distributor.
Ok no prob so far. So I contact the Dutch dealer, go through the story again etc only to be told I have to take the Wave back to the retailer who will forward it to them why go direct when you can go the long way eh? Now as I bought it over ten years ago in the UK in a shop that doesnt exist anymore - thats gonna be a toughie!
I dont want to give up as the Wave sees daily use Helicopter tech when not farming and the problems can be solved with a service and maybe a new main blade. Who do I send it to? And the reply was Not a peep. So not to be put off by the silence and the tumbleweed. I send the same email to two seperate email addresses at LM. And the reply Ok, now starting to feel like a smelly sock that no one wants to pick up or words to that effect. I let it slide and a few weeks later an email arrives from the Dutch distributor telling me to send it to them with sufficient postage to send it back insured via TNT.
Ok no worries. Wave has been sent along with a Squirt PS4 that broke its plier jaw taking out a staple Today I get a reply stating that the Wave has been received but the return postage is missing and I have to send another 10 euros approx for return shipping.
This takes the total toward 30 euros so far approaching a new wave price from the US!! So now I have no wave, no squirt, and a distributor s that wants more money to send back a warrantied tool that they havent even fixed yet!! Now given the positives I have read about LM Customer service Sgt Bashed I came with nothing.
