Duncan Dorris, Jr. He attended the University of Georgia for his undergraduate studies where he majored in Microbiology. While at the Medical College of Georgia, Dr. Dorris became interested in the specialty of Dermatology. After completing two years of an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Memphis, he returned to the Medical College of Georgia for an additional three years of Dermatology training.
Completing that program in June , Dr. Dorris joined Dermatology Associates of Asheville in In January , he opened Forest Dermatology. Dorris and his wife, Mary, have lived in Asheville since and have five grown children. Sigmon was born and raised in Asheville, North Carolina and graduated from T. Roberson high school in While earning his bachelor degree in biology at UNC-Asheville, he spent time volunteering at Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry and became interested in pursuing a career in medicine.
As a junior medical student he was chosen by his peers and instructors to be inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. In addition to this prestigious honor, he received other awards and recognition for his excellence in surgery and medicine as a medical student. Sigmon has participated in multiple research studies over the course of his training and presented at regional and national conferences with over ten publications in peer-reviewed journals.
He also had the distinction of serving as the chief resident of dermatology at the Medical College of Georgia in his last year of residency. Sigmon has a strong interest in general medical dermatology and dermatological surgery. Sigmon lives in Arden with his wife, Jolie, and their two children. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, cooking, flyfishing, and hiking.
Logan D'Souza is a specialist in skin cancer and Mohs micrographic surgery. During medical school he received several accolades from his peers and professors, including membership in the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society as a junior medical student for academic excellence, serving as elected President of his class, and membership in the Gold Humanism Honor Society for attitudes and behaviors of the most humanistic physicians.
