After obtaining degrees in medical technology and computer programming, she spent the majority of her career as a computer programmer analyst with a large healthcare provider in Minneapolis. She moved back to Medford after her retirement in late Jean and her sister Ann traveled extensively, especially after retirement.
She enjoyed learning about and experiencing the culture of the 46 foreign countries she visited. She had a special place in her heart for the people of San Lucas Toliman, Guatemala, after doing mission work there.
After moving back to Medford, Jean volunteered at Holy Rosary in many capacities, including preparing and serving funeral luncheons, counting the weekly collection, helping with mailings, and many other duties.
