Police in Antrim have launched a witness appeal after three children were injured when a double-decker school bus collided with a partially-fallen tree. It is understood that road closure signage had been removed prior to the collision, which is extremely dangerous and could have resulted in a much more serious outcome. Sergeant Jones of the PSNI said that three children received injuries during the incident, which occurred on the Glenavy Road area in Lisburn, however, they are not believed to be serious.
The road was closed for a time but has since re-opened. The sergeant confirmed that an investigation into the circumstances of the collision is ongoing.
