Or sumthin' I went to some Philly Cheesesteak place in Philly in It's the one that was in Rocky Steak-umms, anyone? I've never been to Philly to have a true Philly Steak. I do love them though. Never saw the one with the Cheez Whiz until yeaterday on the T.
Actually, Amoroso are ok but the best cheesesteak joints use a better roll. Its the rolls that seperate Philly cheesesteaks from anyone elses. Can't get them anywhere else. I like the cheese wiz or provolone. Its not. Its a Philly thing. Are the real Phillies suppose to have bell peppers or just the onions. I've had them both ways over here.
I like them both but I really like the bell pepper ones. Well Chad, you're supposed to have it any way you like it but the traditional way is "wit", which means wit onions.
While we're on the subject, I feel the hoagie must also get some time here. Cheesesteaks and hoagies subs, torpedo's, go hand in hand in Philly. The best hoagie is found in Atlantic City at the White House, which has served every celebrity that has ever performed in AC including the Beatles. They also make, in my opinion, the best cheesesteak in the world. Once again, its the rolls that make the difference. These Atlantic City rolls are actually white and hard on the outside and doughy on the inside.
