Stockholm , a city where history meets innovation, has long been a source of inspiration for creatives worldwide. Nestled among its charming streets and scenic waterways is Matilda Djerf , the Swedish entrepreneur and style icon behind the cult-favourite brand Djerf Avenue.
With her effortless aesthetic and deep connection to her hometown, Matilda embodies the modern spirit of Stockholm β where minimalist design and timeless elegance reign supreme. We caught up with her to discover the spots that define her daily life in the Swedish capital, from hidden wine bars where she indulges in a glass or two to the local florist where she finds her most treasured blooms. The only way to explore Stockholm is by walking everywhere.

The Sparrow Hotel has a special al-fresco area and a small nook with gallery walls of wine inside. My go-to places are Monrads , a hybrid deli counter and restaurant in Djursholm with great fresh fish dishes. This popular spot attracts locals year-round with its coveted outdoor seats, where guests enjoy dishes like buttery Kalix roe on toast, shellfish platters, fried halibut, and lobster aioli.
For a special meal, Matilda recommends Brasserie Astoria. A frequent visitor to this former s cinema-turned-eatery, the entrepreneur praises its mix of comforting yet refined dishes, from tableside Caesar salads to brunch and daily Plat du Jour specials that keep Stockholm natives coming back for more since the s.
