It's surprising because there is near zero traffic enforcement and many roads are filled with hoodlums who drive like they don't care about their life or anyone else.
Red light runners, speeders, aggressive driving, weaving clearly on substances. Then there is the total absence of commercial vehicle enforcement.
CV's with unsecured loads, junk or highly modified vehicles pulling overloaded trailers, trucks with improper covers spraying rock and gravel all over roads and highways. Most of these don't appear to be able to withstand any commercial inspection. The list goes on an on. Seems resources could be better allocated to safety and real crime.
