In this course, students explore key philosophical ideas such as empiricism, evidence, induction, naturalism, realism, and explanation, as well as the relationships between science, philosophy, and society.

Jeffrey K. His research focuses on the intersection of philosophy, science, and religion in the early modern era. He has written numerous articles on philosophy in the early modern period. His edited volume on the history of the concept of teleology, Teleology: A History was published by Oxford University Press in His exploration of the philosophical implications of Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz's work in optics, static, and mechanics, Leibniz's Miracle Creed: The Principle of Optimality in Leibniz's Physics and Philosophy , as well as his textbook on the philosophy of religion, Saints, Heretics and Atheists: A Historical Introduction to the Philosophy of Religion were both published by Oxford University Press in Meeting Info.
