We can administer the DPS driving test no matter where you took your driver education. The test will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. To obtain your driver's license you must still appear in person at a Department of Public Safety Office location. If you don't pass, you get two more chances at no additional charge. You can only complete one test per day. Below are our current openings for road tests. Availability may vary by the time you register.
After you register, you'll be able to book your time. Avoid the long wait for a driving test at the Texas DPS and take your road test at our driving school using one of our vehicles. Road Test for Teens You are eligible for a TEEN Road test if you: are age 16 to 18 completed driver education, including classroom and behind-the-wheel with a driving school or approved parent-taught program completed 30 additional hours of practice held a valid Texas Learner's License permit for days or longer You can test the day after the date listed on the back of your permit.
There are no refunds for road tests.
