On Tuesday I got dressed in my apartment in white shirt, pants, tie and made my way through the tunnel connecting the Dormitories with the Temple arriving about AM for a AM Session. The temple was in beautiful condition compared to the chaos of Sunday night. And after the normal preliminaries went directly to the Endowment Room and was the first one in the room.
There was a new missionary who was getting his own endowment but the room was mostly full of Rumanian visitors who had come for the dedication and were staying on for a couple of days to do temple work.
The room was full with 3 or 4 folding chairs brought in for extra capacity. The symbolism of all that was very meaningful to me and to others who were following my efforts. After reaching the Celestial Room I sat down with Bette Hubrich who was already there and burst into uncontrollable tears for at least 10 minutes.
During this very tender time of extreme spiritual vulnerability, I received assurance that Johann had accepted this work which was rather a key-log in a log jam for his family. Not sure whyβ¦. Such are the gifts of the temple and such are the gifts to me of coming to THIS temple at this time to do this work. For the rest of Wednesday and the early morning of Thursday I will be packing and clearing out of my apartment which I must vacate by 8AM on Thursday.
All the items on the Bucket List are complete and I will return home with that sense of satisfaction of having completed all I came to do. Thanks to those who have followed my odyssey. The rooms I was in on the 6th. This morning I caught the AM train to Dresden for the 3rd time as the first leg of getting to Leipzig β truly going around your elbow to get to your finger. Leipzig is almost due north of Freiberg.
