Instructional Objective: It is the intent of this college to prepare Barbering students with the necessary skills to meet the demand of the industry through exposure to practical, theoretical, and hands on experience, safety and sanitary precautions, salon management, state laws, and first aid.
The student will also become familiar with duties of a receptionist, cashier, as well as professional ethics and public relations; therefore, developing an employable quality for entry level barbering.
Upon completion of hours 42 weeks , requirements, and chapter tests, the student will be eligible to take the Washington State Board Exam. Evaluation: At the end of each unit the student will be given a written multiple choice examination.
Instructional Techniques: The course will be a combination of lecture, demonstration and student participation. Instruction trainees will demonstrate their knowledge of teaching theory and application ability through their class demonstration. A new kit will be supplied to each student the first week of training provided the kit cost has been paid.
The kit cost do not include the replacement of tools or equipment lost, stolen, or damaged, nor does it cover student consumption of solutions and supplies outside of teaching situations. Balance due is payable in monthly installments of due on or before the tenth of each month.
