A Deeper Dive Into Deep Tissue Upper Body Typically when massage therapists and our clients think about deep tissue massage they think it has to be painful! Well I'm here to tell you that is not the case! I have found working smarter not harder is the best strategy when it comes to deep tissue work.
In this course you will learn how to deliver a deep massage without causing stress to you or your clients body. From extensive research and experience I have combined three main techniques to help your client become pain free and save your body from burn out. This course features an easy to use format that provides the theory and assessment of common muscular and neuromuscular conditions. You will receive an extensive overview of techniques specific to a deep tissue massage, including trigger point therapy, myofascial techniques and stretching.
We will cover a review of the forces a massage therapist applies to the body and ROM assessment approach. We will also be encompassing which type of demographic would benefit from this type of modality, benefits of deep tissue, how to properly drape for these techniques, how to assess you clients, and which client would not be able to receive this type of work.
