Copperas Cove police were dispatched to the block of Tanner Drive and located a year-old female with gunshot wounds. Life saving measures were performed until she was transported to Advent Health Central Texas by EMS where she later succumbed to her injuries. After speaking to witnesses at the scene a suspect was identified who was known by the victim.
