If I spoke only English I don't think I would've enjoyed it even a tenth as much, I did attempt one or two English words but I don't think she understood so I tried hard to remember the Japanese. It's the last day of a very long business trip that took me all over Japan and the previous two sessions I attempted were 1 way too nerve-racking and awkward, and then 2 just kinda sorta okay. Surely third time's the charm? I make a reservation through AM's email early in the day and get a prompt reply that Yuki would be available late that night.
I check in at my hotel and disaster strikes as I'm hit with a terrible bout of food poisoning and spend the next several hours in the fetal position, only stumbling out the door to give a half assed presentation before returning to pass out in my room. I'm woken up close to midnight by AM's email letting me know Yuki had arrived in the lobby.
