The mission of Asian and Pacific Islander Family Pride is to end the isolation of Asian and Pacific Islander families with lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender members through support, education, and dialog. The Oakland LGBTQ Community Center is dedicated to enhancing and sustaining the well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer LGBTQ individuals, our families and allies, by providing educational, social, and health related activities, programs and services.

Somos Familia was founded by two moms from the East Bay San Francisco Bay Area with Latino gay and bisexual sons in to reach out to other families. With an all-volunteer group of different generations we established the following mission and vision. They envision a world where youth of all sexual orientations, gender expressions and identities are accepted and celebrated by their families and communities. The Brown Boi Project is a community of people working across race and gender to eradicate sexism, homophobia and transphobia and create healthy frameworks of masculinity and change.
